Swasthya Muskaan Abhiyaan is Community-Driven Oral Health Initiative by the Smiles and Giggles Foundation aimed at providing free oral healthcare to underserved communities across India. The program focuses on preventive, diagnostic, and treatment-based approaches while also empowering local communities through training and awareness campaigns.

Objectives

Improve Oral Health Accessibility

Provide free oral healthcare services to children, pregnant women, adults, and elderly individuals in underserved areas.

Early Detection of Oral Cancer

Conduct primary-stage screenings for oral cancer, ensuring timely diagnosis and intervention.

Community Engagement & Awareness

Educate school teachers, parents, and community leaders about the importance of oral hygiene.

Sustainable Impact:

Establish long-term oral health programs in schools, anganwadis, and community centers.

Capacity Building for Dental Professionals

Train dentists and healthcare workers in upskilling techniques, latest dental care practices, and community engagement strategies.

Methodology

Screening & Diagnosis

  • Conduct free oral health check-ups in rural and urban slums, government schools, anganwadis, and community centers.
  • Identify early signs of oral diseases, including oral cancer, and refer cases for further treatment.

Treatment & Intervention

  • Provide fluoride treatments, fillings, extractions, and basic dental procedures free of cost.
  • Partner with local hospitals and dental clinics for advanced treatment referrals.

Awareness & Behavioral Change Programs

  • Conduct workshops in schools, anganwadis, and community centers on preventive oral healthcare.
  • Distribute oral hygiene kits containing toothbrushes, toothpaste, and educational material.

Training & Skill Development

  • Upskilling programs for dentists on the latest advancements in oral healthcare.
  • Training sessions for school teachers and community health workers on oral hygiene practices.

Field Work & Execution

Mobile Dental Units
